Fergal is a multi-award winning filmmaker working in Feature Film, TV and Commercials.
In 2017 Fergal won three Kinsale Shark Awards for his music-video work, including Best New Irish Director. Following that, his EDA winning short film “Lost and Found” lead to directing the BBC short film “Brain in Gear” which went onto win the 2020 BAFTA for Best Short Form Programme. He then directed 9 episodes of sci-fi comedy musical NOVA JONES for BBC which was a blast. In 2022, Fergal directed the critically acclaimed 90 minute sci-fi special “We Are Not Alone”, written by the creators of Ghosts for DAVE. It got great reviews in Den of Geek and The New York Times which blew his mind. His BBC Comedy Film “Where it Ends” with producer Sam Ward for Tiger Aspect won ‘Best Comedy Programme’ at the 2024 RTS North East Awards and is nominated for the 2024 BAFTA for Best Short Form.
He lives wherever the work takes him. He wrote this section himself and felt weird about it.
